CERN is the biggest particle physics laboratory in the world. More than 10,000 physicists from all around the world come to CERN to carry out experiments whose aim is to advance the understanding of the fundamentals of matter and the nature of our universe.

On Saturday 28th September and Sunday 29th September 2013 from 09:00 to 20:00 CERN will open its door to everyone.

Meet the people who make the discoveries, visit the installations where they work, discover the computer centre which is at the heart of the worldwide computing grid, explore hi-tech laboratories, descend 100 metres underground to the experimental caverns, visit the control centres where the scientists and engineers monitor and control their elaborate instruments, take in fascinating presentations about this amazing scientific adventure…

The CERN Open Days app is the ideal companion during these incredible days. Use this app to find out about all practical information, interesting visit points, possible parking or the places where you can grab some food or drinks.
